*********** QUOTE ************

"The statistics on sanity are that one out of every four Americans is suffering from some form of mental illness. Think of your three best friends. If they are okay, then it's you."

************Contents **********

1. Arrogance
2. How you can make 25% of all books and tapes sold at myhandwriting.com
3. From the Mailbag: I've been framed at work through handwriting!
4. Congratulations to Annette!
5. I've got a new Soul Mate (a VERY funny article)

******** Topic One *********

Can Arrogance be a good trait... or is it bad?

It depends. Like most traits, you have to determine the significance of its presence only in combination to other traits. In this case, Doctor Paul, we see extreme pride bordering on arrogance by the very tall d and t-stems. On surface value, that would indicate difficulty admitting he is wrong, displacing blame, and even spending too much time on his hair. While all this may be a bit true, it is probably tolerable considering his brilliant mind (sharp pointed m's and n's) and incredible determination (heavy downstrokes) and persistence (double crossed t). Perhaps, in this case, he is always right? Hmm? Oh, ladies...he is probably a good lover, too. Most e+ slanted writers are. But, given his vanity, he probably performs best in front of an audience.

What's your opinion?

*********** Special Events / New Affiliate Program Announced *****

I was speaking to one of my Certified Handwriting Students recently and he asked how he could profit from Handwriting Universities growing popularity. He was going to be referring clients to buy books, tapes, and correspondence courses and was wondering if there was some type of commission or franchise system set up?

The answer is "YES." Now there is an easy way for every handwriting enthusiast on the planet to benefit from our successes. Instead of trying to manage a costly franchise and offer training and territories like McDonalds, I've come up with a better way--the first Handwriting Analysis Affiliate Program. All you have to do to earn 25% commission on ALL products sold is simply link or refer your customers to our website! It's all automated. The more people that buy Grapho-Decks, books, or home study courses that come directly from your site the more money you make. You don't have to stock one book, tape one box, or ship one package. All you do is link your site to our site and talk about it!

For more information and all the details go to http://www.mentalfitnessproducts.com and fill out the on-line enrollment form and follow the directions.

Congratulation to Dr. Steve Meeker for becoming the first every Affiliate! Steve signed up two days ago.

Forensic Examination of Handwriting

Dear Sirs,

I find myself in a rather difficult position where I have been suspended from duties for something I have not done. One main reason for suspension is quoted as "handwriting on questioned document could be yours." Quoted in exact terms. I DID NOT write on the questioned document. I have not received any formal report from any expert, but I am advised that two experts agree. I believe through other information already obtained that I am being set-up.

I need your comments to the following please:
1. I have a very bad handwriting that changes often; can anything be read into this?
2. I write very fast and it's often very illegible, I try to keep up with my brain and often end up making dashes and or points to remember. Can anything be read into this?
3. Am I not, by law, entitled to the expert's reports? I gave specimens freely.
4. A very small sample of handwriting was tested, could this not negatively influence the experts?
5. How accurate and conclusive is handwriting analysis?
6. What tools or recourse is available to me to prove myself innocent of the handwriting?

I would greatly appreciate any comments or advise and thank you in advance.

Henry Donovan

---- Answer from Bart ------

Dear Mr. Donovan,

Your situation seems sticky. First, if the handwriting in question is NOT yours, then naturally you can sue for damages, lost pay, etc.

However, just like a policeman or priest who can be put on "paid leave" while under investigation, it is within the companies rights to suspend someone while they investigate.

If I were you, I would retain some form of legal counsel and begin building your defense. Start by recording EVERY conversation and keep every written correspondence. It sounds like you will have a legal battle if it is not resolved soon.

As far as the accuracy of document examining, it's a very accurate science with years of precedent to support it. But people do make mistakes and both sides CAN have an expert. You need to hire a "better" and "more credible" expert to win in the case of a trial.

I would start with a "demand" letter to turn over evidence against you so you can begin preparing a defense against the accusations.

If they dismiss the charges and allow you to go back to work, you should be entitled to fair compensation for the time you missed. That is the best scenario. If you are fired, you will be looking to sue for wrongful termination. In either case, you will probably want a lawyer.

Good luck,

-BART BAGGETT

P.S. Since I am not a licensed attorney, I cannot advise you on legal issues. You must have legal representation for the legal portion of your problem.
