Now, are these two men "bad" for having the ego to write a book or two? Look at what Mark said about Bart's latest book:

"Bart reveals the prosperity secrets only a few really understand. This is a powerful, accurate and comprehensive guide for building wealth in your life. Read it. Live it."

*** Editorial from Bart Baggett *****

Dear Reader,

A while ago, I gave a 45-minute lecture to the Dallas Chapter of YEO (Young Entrepreneurs Organization.) YEO is one of the most selective and prestigious clubs in the world. Each member must be a business owner, under age 40, and their company must gross over 1 million per year to become a member. So, in lecturing to this audience, I did some extra homework on "high achievers." In the audience "all" of the men had one thing in common: Large first letters in their name and most of their signatures were sloppy, illegible and written with great speed.

The women business owners actually had less predictable traits and a less obvious "ego-maniacal" way about them. I suppose that is the beauty of being able to balance one's female and masculine energy in business. As part of my research, I discovered a new employment screening technique called "Life-Themes" which essentially looks for significant "patterns" in an applicant's life. These patterns or "themes" can be used to accurately determine the probability of success.

85% of the draft level incoming NBA players who ranked
high in the BIG EGO and "Need to be Famous" personality
categories were still in the league five years later. Only 5%
of the players that did not have BIG EGO were in the league
five years later. "
— Fast Company Magazine

This is no different than what a very talented professional handwriting analyst does on a regular basis. Any trained monkey can spot individual traits in the handwriting (just give him a Grapho-Deck.) What separates an amateur from a $300 per hour professional is the ability to see "patterns" of behavior and in turn apply those patterns of personality, beliefs, fears, and values to the job in question. The NBA team the Cleveland Cavaliers used "Life-Themes" to improve their draft choices in the early 1990's. The results were impressive. The researchers determined there were 3 key "themes" that a successful player must have to succeed in the NBA

1. "Court awareness" - the ability to see where everyone is on the court and intuitively know where they are going.

2. "Ability to tolerate pain" - Pain is part of the game. Can they play while hurt?

3. "Huge Ego" - Yep, the successful players had a huge ego and a need to be famous before arriving into the NBA. They didn't get egomaniacal after becoming famous. It was the BIG EGO that propelled them there! So, from a handwriting analyst perspective, we could assist with spotting those with large egos; but, I don't know if there are predictable graphological patterns that would assist with criteria #1 or #2.

*****Special Excerpt: Who are these NBA players?*****

Can you tell who is in this photo with me?

I'm giving away a prize to the first three people who email me the correct answer at contest @ handwritinguniversity.com

Hint, he plays for an NBA team that wears yellow jerseys and their home stadium is the Staples Center.

I was hanging out with a few NBA players a few weeks ago in an underground bar in Dallas, Texas. Naturally, when the players found out I analyzed handwriting, they wanted their own analysis...and of course I grabbed a pen and paper and started analyzing.

One thing led to another and soon I was analyzing the players, their girlfriends, and what seemed like all of their very very tall friends.

They laughed, they pointed fingers, they really enjoyed their mini psych profile.

I told them of this article I had written about how NBA players that make it have huge egos. "That's right," they said. So I decided to add their story to the article and here they are. Now you get to join the fun and tell me who is in the pictures.

Second test...who is this?

Remember, if you know the answer, be one of the first three people to respond correctly at this email address:

*****Is EGO necessary to success?*****

Many people perceive the word "EGO " as negative or insulting. A healthy ego is an important part of a good self-esteem. You may find someone with t-bars at the top of the stem, but if they have a tiny, underdeveloped personal pronoun "I" and a weak signature... that person might be ambitious but lack the "confidence and sense of certainty" to really achieve. They may achieve, but not to the level of a similar person with a healthy "I" and a large signature.

The particular route to becoming very succesful as an author, speaker, NBA star, actor, or typical celebrity does require more "ego" than other careers (accounting, oil, etc.) and a healthy ego does seem to be a driving force for success in general. (Although an ego that is too large can obviously be obnoxious and exceedingly narcisistic.)

Take a look at these two bestselling authors' signatures below.

Mark Victor Hansen is co-author of the bestselling book series of the 1990's - Chicken Soup for the Soul. He is very appreciative and humble about his success. He worked hard and had lots of people support him along the way. He is a great guy... you wouldn't call him egotistical in a negative way. He has a big ego and it works for him and others in a positive way.

Mark's messy writing indicates that the "speed" of his writing and thinking is faster than most. A brilliant guy. He also connects all the words, so he is a fluid thinker. His t-stem is tall, so he has lots of pride. His M-humps go downhill... so he is diplomatic. As messy as his writing is, I can only imagine how many projects he must be juggling at once. His assistant had better keep him focused.

Robert Allen is also one of the most respected authors on Real Estate investment has written two books titled "Multiple Streams of Income". and "No Money Down." Robert is also one of America's leading speakers and authors on becoming Rich. I wouldn't call Robert Allen humble...but, he is smart and demands top dollar for his seminars and courses. He "knows" he's worth it. It is not uncommon for Robert to price a seminar at $7,000 when his competitors are charging $595. Go Robert. Get Rich.

Analysis:
Uphill = optimism
Long downstrokes = determination
Heavy writing = intense and enduring emotions
Open O = talkative
V shape on downward stroke = aggressive.
HUGE R = big ego, loves the spotlight.

Both men are very successful. When I told them they were both big "ego-maniacs," they laughed...and agreed. It takes ego to put your name on a book and sell 63 million copies. Mark Victor Hansen recently endorsed my latest book "Success Secrets of the Rich & Happy."

It hasn't sold 63 million copies yet... but it has changed the lives of sooooo many people already.

Don't be afraid to sign your name with some "splash!" Thanks so much for reading my weekly newsletter. Your Egomaniacal Handwriting God, (joke)

    STUDENTS WRITE IN:

The things I learned this weekend are absolutely incredible! If all I remember is the information on the backwards writing/ printing, NLP and graphotherapy, it will be worth three times the cost of the seminar! Bart, Curt, Don, Kathie, Derrick, Jerry, and Bob were all terrific, and Maryann was organized and awesome as usual!

The second training I've taken from you was even better than the first. The weekend was fun, informative and went by real fast. I can't wait to use this with my clients when I get back home. The insights from this training have elevated my abilities to help others.

This seminar has changed my life in a number of ways.
I have a degree in psychology and am very interested in how it inter-relates with handwriting analysis. I came for self-improvement, but am leaving with the skills to help others in a profound way. Now I've learned how to do all that and make money too!

    Gina Branch
    McKinney, TX

Being a "prove-it-to-me" kind of guy, I arrived at the seminar skeptical about the entire field of handwriting analysis. Within the first 2 hours I became not only a true believer of the validity of the science of handwriting analysis - but determined to learn much, much more!

As a bonus - as fascinating as handwriting analysis is - the seminar and its presenters outshone this incredible material. I heartily recommend this seminar to anyone with a brain.

I have learned a lot about myself and have completely changed large parts of my personality from Bart's 'Change Your Writing Workbook.' I've met 1,000's of people and feel supremely confident. Thanks Bart and keep up the good work.
